On Saturday 1st February 2020 National Public School, Kalkere hosted Aurora -2020 – An insightful amalgamation of the significant festivals pan India, North, South, East, West!!
This event was one of the important ways for staff, students and the community to connect. It gave families the opportunity to take part in their child’s learning. The students got to learn about other cultures outside their grade level. It was a fabulous creation of National themes embedded into the student’s schedule: engaging in fun, social bonding, discipline, sharing ideas – living out the vision and mission of the school.
From the perspective of listening, observing, seeking and implementing National Public School, Kalkere ensured 100% participation, exploring historical and ritual legacy through inclusive activities of song, dance, and drama. The students learnt to confront stage fear, master insecurity, enhance confidence through vibrant presentations of Pongal, Bihu, Baisakhi, Diwali, Dussehra all allowing students to showcase their talents to an authentic audience. This was an endeavor to instill two important traits-respectful and be appreciative of another state's culture and language. There are many events in the womb of time, but the culture in itself is like living in the core values of humanity.
“Events are biggest teachers, as opposed to words and Lectures…” and that is what we have achieved in this School, through Aurora 2020!!
