french day

“He who knows no foreign languages knows nothing of his own.”_Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Bastille Day is the common name given in English-speaking countries to the national day of France, which is celebrated on 14 July each year. In French, it is formally called la Fête nationale. The Eiffel Tower in Paris and the French national flag, or tricolor, are important symbols of Bastille Day.

We at National Public School, Kalkere celebrated French Day on 15 July 2019 as part of a special assembly where our students spoke in French about the importance and symbols of National Day of France. The students also sang songs. A quiz based on National France Day was also conducted.
