Independence Day 2025

Independence Day 2025

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated in our school with great patriotic zeal and
ceremonial splendour, bringing together students, staff, and guests in a heartfelt tribute to the spirit of freedom. The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag as the tri-colour soared high to the resonant strains of the national anthem. This was followed by a crisp and coordinated march past by the students of Class 10, whose disciplined formation reflected pride and unity. The school band added grandeur to the occasion with a stirring display of patriotic tunes.
The Principal, Ms Shyla Purushotham, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech that highlighted the significance of independence, the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, and the role of education in nation-building. A student representative’s heartfelt speech echoed the aspirations of India’s youth and their commitment to shaping a brighter future.
The cultural segment featured a vibrant dance performance and a compelling drama titled “India Then & Now” by the students of Class 12, portraying India’s rich heritage and
transformative journey. The programme concluded with a gracious vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the celebration and leaving the audience with a renewed sense of pride and patriotic purpose. It reverberated with the year’s theme:
Naya Bharat-where every voice finds echo, and every soul finds peace in the promise of
equity.
