Environment Day

National Public School, Kalkere, celebrated Environment Day on Friday, 5th June 2026,
with a special morning assembly that inspired students to reflect on their responsibility
toward the planet. The assembly featured a thought provoking speech by a teacher, a lively skit performed by students, and addresses by the Principal that emphasised sustainable living.
The program concluded with a collective pledge, taken by all students and staff, to protect and preserve the environment.
Following the assembly, students of Grades 1 to 12 engaged in creative, hands on activities
that highlighted environmental awareness in unique ways. From documentaries, reflections, and slogan writing in the junior classes to paper bag making, repurposing plastic boxes, and green themed paintings in the middle grades, every activity carried a message of eco consciousness. Senior students contributed through posters for the Walkathon, organic “Earth Day Recipes,” and a comprehensive newsletter documenting the day’s events.
Together, these initiatives showcased the school’s commitment to nurturing environmental responsibility and creativity among its learners.
