Culinary Club Expert Talk with Ms. Alice Babu

The Culinary Club of National Public School, Kalkere, had the privilege of hosting Ms. Alice Babu as the guest speaker on 3rd September 2025. A versatile professional, Ms. Babu has over two decades of experience teaching Mathematics and French, followed by a 15-year career in Family Law. Beyond her professional achievements, she is passionate about cooking and gardening, and maintains a collection of nearly 20 varieties of orchids.

In her address, Ms. Babu described cooking as an art that combines creativity, imagination, and care to bring joy and nourishment. She demonstrated a variety of innovative dishes, including pasta with homemade mayonnaise, cucumber cups, a cabbage-based presentation, and an orange platter—each highlighting that healthy food can be both nutritious and delicious without preservatives.

She encouraged students to embrace her guiding principle: “Do the best with what you have.” The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Naishika, expressing appreciation for Ms. Babu’s inspiring insights. The event left students motivated to explore the art of cooking with creativity and joy.
