Tolstoy

A noble Initiative by NPS Kalkere Students

Know More

Tolstoy

Tolstoy is a compassionate initiative founded by Rakshith Krishnan, Sharvesh B, and Adhvik Reddy, students of Class 12 at NPS Kalkere. The primary objective of this initiative is to address a simple yet impactful need: toys for every child. With a vision rooted in empathy and community service, Tolstoy aims to ensure that no child is deprived of the joy and developmental benefits that toys can bring.

Toys play a vital role in nurturing emotional resilience, social skills, creativity, and motor development. However, as children grow, many of these valuable items often remain unused. Tolstoy seeks to bridge this gap by collecting gently used toys, stationery, and books, and distributing them to children in orphanages and underserved communities who may not have had access to such resources. Since its inception, Tolstoy has made a positive difference in the lives of over 250 children and continues to expand its reach through ongoing community efforts and dedicated engagement.

One of the recent successful initiatives was a donation drive at NPS Kalkere, where students from grades 1 to 12 actively participated by donating gently used toys, books, and stationery. This enthusiastic involvement reflected the students' strong sense of empathy and responsibility, making the event truly impactful.

Looking ahead, Tolstoy is committed to furthering its outreach, forming new community partnerships, and organizing awareness campaigns that highlight the significance of play in child development. We take immense pride in our students for spearheading such a thoughtful initiative. Tolstoy exemplifies how small acts of kindness can bring about meaningful change in the lives of those in need.
