On Tuesday,15th August 2023, National Public School, Kalkere, celebrated Independence Day. The school campus was beautifully decorated in national colours of orange, green, blue and white-with flags and flowers to commemorate the special day. The programme commenced with our Principal Ms Shyla Purushotham, hoisting the national flag followed by the singing of the national anthem by the august gathering. There was an impressive march past and band display by the students of the Band Club. No doubt the ambience was filled with boundless enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. Our chief guest for the occasion was Ms Roopali Rawat, who believes that standing in front of a start line in a race brings the opportunity to succeed. She is the founder of Fab Point and excels in upcycling pre-loved sarees.
The day ended on a cheerful and positive note with the fluttering Tricolour reminding us that unity binds us as a nation.
