On Tuesday, 4 th March 2024-25, Library Day, conducted at National Public School, Kalkere, was more than just an event; it was an enchanting celebration dedicated to the joy of reading and the pivotal role libraries play in education. Throughout the year, a variety of activities were designed to ignite a passion for reading and inspire lifelong learning. The celebration culminated in a special programme that highlighted the essence of literature. On this day, students of classes 5, 6 and 7 were engaged in literary presentations and discussions on the importance of the school library not only as a hub for endless information but also as a joyful place for learning. This was followed by a short play adapted from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, adding a dramatic touch to the celebration.
